I Don’t Do This Work Alone: My Family of Beings

Natasha’s family of elemental beings supporting her property and land energy clearing work

Dragons, faeries, merbeings, tree spirits, gnomes, energetic guardians, and other beings aren’t something I learned to call in as part of a spiritual practice.

They’re my family of beings.

Many of us have worked together across lifetimes, caring for the Earth, helping spirits move forward, and restoring balance within homes, buildings, and land.

Some have been beside me for as long as I can remember. Others return when a particular part of our shared work begins again.

Then there are the local beings already connected to the properties and land I visit.

Calling them my “energetic team” is the easiest way to explain the relationship, but they’re much more than that.

I don’t stand in the middle giving everyone instructions.

That would probably go badly.

We work together. They show me what they can see, I bring what I can do, and between us, we understand what each property needs.

I’ve Always Lived With Beings Around Me

Seeing and speaking with beings has always been part of my life.

As a child, I spoke with spirits and saw energy that other people didn’t. I remembered beings and places from other lifetimes, although I didn’t always have the words to explain what I was experiencing.

Some beings felt new when they first stepped forward. Others felt immediately familiar.

Remembering them wasn’t like meeting a stranger.

It was more like finally recognizing someone I already knew.

Our relationships aren’t one-sided. They have their own personalities, responsibilities, opinions, and ways of communicating.

They aren’t tools I use to clear a property.

They’re involved because this is our work together.

The Work Often Begins Before I Do

When I connect with a property during a consultation, I receive an initial understanding of what is happening.

But that doesn’t mean the reading is finished when the Zoom call ends.

My team continues working through the property for several days. With larger or overseas properties, it can sometimes take up to a week or two for them to work through the different energies and show me what the space needs.

They move through the building, land, boundaries, and energetic layers.

They identify what belongs to the property, what has come from previous occupants, what is connected to neighboring land, and what may have been disrupted through building work or changes over time.

Sometimes I’m still waiting for the full information while they’re already deep in the job.

Apparently, nobody told them they had to wait for me.

We Don’t Arrive as Though We Own the Place

My family of beings may be completely different from the beings connected with the local area.

We don’t arrive and take over.

There needs to be respect.

The land has its own history, guardians, natural systems, and ways of communicating. In some places, there is a clear sense of waiting to be invited or welcomed before the work can begin.

My team meets the local beings.

They communicate, establish what is appropriate, and help me understand the boundaries of the property and land.

Sometimes this feels like a respectful introduction. Other times, permission needs to be given before we go any further.

The relationship matters.

I’m not there to impose my energy on the land. I’m there to listen, understand, and work alongside the beings who already know and care for it.

A Non-Local Café Property

During a recent consultation for a café property in Sydney, I connected with the building and land remotely from my home in New Zealand.

The owner was at the café during our call, but I don’t need someone to be physically onsite to see what is happening.

During a consultation, I connect with the property through the owner’s relationship with it. They may be sitting inside the space or talking with me from somewhere else—their connection gives me a pathway into the property’s frequency, and my team meets me there.

At this café, the building was carrying many frequency layers connected with its history, previous occupants, neighboring properties, and the changes taking place within the space.

I was shown what the property needed, what it wanted to become, and how this connected with what the owner wanted to create there.

After the consultation, my team continued working through the property, untangling the different layers and frequency connections held within the building and land.

A beautiful, calm tree guardian was also present.

She wasn’t someone I had called into the property. She was already connected and had her own relationship with the place. The owner had also noticed this same calm presence within the building.

While my team worked through the different layers, she quietly helped prepare and support the property from within the land and building itself.

This is how my non-local work unfolds.

My family of beings can connect with a property wherever it is in the world. They also meet and work alongside the beings who already know and care for that land.

The Trees Usually Know What’s Going On

Trees hold a steady presence within many of the properties I read.

Older trees, in particular, often understand far more about the land than the people currently living on it.

They have witnessed previous occupants, subdivisions, building work, weather events, relationship changes, and the many ways the property has been used.

Tree guardians can help me understand where the land feels settled and where something has become disconnected.

Sometimes one section of land, a stream, a group of trees, or an older building is sitting within its own energetic layer.

The trees help us understand how those areas relate to one another and what is needed for the property to flow together again.

This is something I also notice in older homes, particularly turn-of-the-century buildings created from timber worked by hand.

The tree spirits connected with the original wood can remain within the home. Their relationship with the timber doesn’t necessarily end when the tree becomes part of a building.

These homes can also hold the frequency of the person who built them—the work of their hands, the care they brought to the process, and the energy they carried while creating the structure.

Not every older property feels the same, but some still hold a very clear relationship between the original trees, the person who shaped the timber, and the home those materials became.

The trees are calm, steady, and true.

The Faeries Have Their Own Schedule

The faeries are quick and very aware of timing.

They don’t always wait patiently for the humans to catch up.

During one conversation, Mum and I were talking about a piece of land and when I would connect with it.

The faeries had already arrived.

Mum said:

“Yeah, the faeries got bored. They’re like, ‘When’s she showing up?’”

That is a fairly accurate description of working with them.

They aren’t tiny decorative beings floating around waiting to be assigned a pleasant job. They are intelligent, capable, and sometimes impatient members of my family of beings.

If they know work needs to happen, they expect me to get on with it.

Dragons, Gnomes and Property Guardians

Different properties bring forward different beings.

At one of our properties, two dragons, Blase and Selerno, arrived to help guard the land and buildings.

There was also a gnome named Bill.

Grumpy Bill.

We joked that he was Dad’s mate because their personalities weren’t entirely dissimilar.

Bill stomped around the property, watched what was happening, and made it very clear that people who weren’t meant to be there weren’t welcome.

The house remained empty for around a year and a half without being damaged. Even the painter was surprised.

To us, it made sense.

The property wasn’t unattended.

Our family extended far beyond the people who physically lived there.

Different Properties Bring Different Beings Together

There are different layers of beings, different teams, and different councils connected with this work.

Not every being comes to every clearing.

I don’t automatically arrive with a standard group consisting of one dragon, two faeries, a merbeing, and a tree spirit.

It isn’t an energetic starter pack.

The support required for each property gathers according to:

  • The history of the land

  • The structures built upon it

  • Previous occupants

  • Spirits who are still present

  • Renovations or subdivisions

  • Neighbouring influences

  • The people currently living or working there

  • What the property is becoming

Sometimes new beings step forward because my work is moving into another layer.

They may feel new to my human awareness, but the relationship between us is often much older.

Other beings may only join us for one particular property because they already have their own connection with that place.

We come together for the work that needs to be done.

Mum and I Have Different Teams

Mum and I work closely together, but our roles and energetic teams are different.

Even when the same being works with both of us, our relationship with them—and the way they communicate and show up—is not the same.

Her work is more connected with people, multidimensional guidance, and the wider energetic picture unfolding within someone’s life.

Mine is deeply connected with Earth frequency, land, properties, spirits, elemental beings, and the energetic structures that hold everything together.

Our teams know one another and work together when needed.

Mum often helps me translate what I’m seeing into words other people can understand. She also manages much of the communication and business side of the work.

That is helpful because, after a major clearing, speaking can be difficult for me.

The Work Moves Through Me Too

I don’t stand outside a property clearing and watch everyone else do the work.

I’m fully involved.

I connect with the energetic layers, communicate with the beings present, guide spirits, open and close pathways, and follow what my family of beings shows me.

The clearing moves through my body and energetic system too.

After clearings, I may be unable to speak for a while. I need quiet, grounding, food, water, colouring, time with the trees, or space in my crystalline realm to recalibrate.

This doesn’t mean something has gone wrong.

It reflects the depth of the work and how completely I participate in it.

My family of beings supports me through that process in the same way I support them during the clearing.

That is what family does.

More Than an Energetic Team

Calling them my “energetic team” is the simplest way to explain the relationship to other people.

But the truth is much bigger than that.

They are beings I love, trust, disagree with, laugh with, remember, and continue learning alongside.

Some protect.

Some clear.

Some untangle layers.

Some communicate with the Earth, trees, water, buildings, and spirits.

Some show up early and become impatient because I haven’t arrived yet.

They are not separate from the work I do.

They are part of why I can do it.

Would You Like Us to Meet Your Property?

When you book a consultation, you aren’t only asking me to look at a building.

My family of beings and I connect with the property as a living energetic environment. We listen to the land, the structures, the beings already present, and the history held within its layers.

You don’t need to know what is wrong before contacting me. You may only know that the space doesn’t feel right.

That is enough for us to begin.
